The Patient Company was honored to be featured in Tech Week Grand Rapids’ Health Tech Showcase: Beyond the Medical Mile, on September 17, 2025 in Grand Rapids. This sold-out event brought together innovators and community leaders to spotlight the future of health technology. Alongside three other scaling med-tech companies, we had the opportunity to share our story, celebrate progress, and highlight where we’re headed next.
The event was hosted by the MSU Research Foundation, with the goal of highlighting and connecting healthtech startups making a positive impact.
Our Director of Customer Success, Travis Smith, represented The Patient Company, sharing insights on where we’re at, our upcoming goals, and what our journey so far has taught us. At the heart of our presentation was the SimPull, our zero lift, zero force, fully automated patient transfer device that makes transfers safer for staff and patients alike. As we continue our journey, meet with more and more healthcare professionals, and learn about the gaps in the market, we can’t help but be increasingly passionate about the need for a better patient transfer solution. The engagement we experienced at the event reinforced just how critical it is to innovate in the patient transfer space.
We were proud to share the stage with fellow med-tech innovators SxanPro, Mentavi Health, and Root Functional Medicine, who are all making important strides in transforming healthcare for the better. We’re grateful to be a part of the conversation about the future of health technology in Grand Rapids and Beyond.
