The Association of Safe Patient Handline Professionals, Inc. (ASPHP) is a non-profit organization that allows individuals to share experiences, access education, and optionally achieve a certification through a Certification Program for those who are interested in the science of safe patient handling. Their mission is "to advance the science and practice of safe patient handling and mobility by empowering caregivers and their patients to maximize their well-being and quality of life."
Membership is available for those interested in the practice and profession of safe patient handling.
The ASPHP website includes a variety of resources including tools and tips, recent legislation, and a solution directory. They also have an on-demand webinar library, and a schedule of upcoming webinars. ASPHP hosts a national event annually as well as regional events.
